Key to Success – Choose action.
Location – Everywhere!
When GJ Reynolds joined ViSalus in 2006, it wasn’t for the money. GJ has been an entrepreneur for most of his adult life and had already found financial success. “I was making a lot of money,” he says. “By most people’s standards, I was living the American Dream. What I wasn’t doing was having a positive impact on a lot of people. That’s what was missing in my life.” At the time, he was searching for the right vehicle to help him transform people’s lives, and didn’t realize that it was ViSalus.
Seven times, he was introduced to the company. Seven times, he walked away. After he was approached for the eighth time, he decided to give it a try. “I had actually prayed for an opportunity to come into my life where I could help people transform theirs,” says GJ, a Two-Star Ambassador. “And when I was presented with ViSalus, I didn’t see the company for what it was.”Four years later, his eyes have been opened.
The company, now in its fifth year, has hit what he calls its “sweet spot” and is experiencing phenomenal growth, thanks to the Body by Vi 90-Day Challenge. What that means to GJ is that he can help even more people. “With ViSalus, you can have impact on an unlimited number of people,” he says. He has more stories than he has time to tell about folks whose lives have been changed by ViSalus.
For example, in April, he met a man who was in debt and about to lose his home. “He saw the opportunity and had to believe in himself,” GJ recalls. “And he took action. We said, ‘Plug in to the system. If you take these steps and the appropriate action, we can turn this around.’” Typically, it takes people 60 to 90 days to find the kind of success this man needed. In 30 days, he was driving a brand-new ViSalus BMW and had paid off his bills, including his mortgage. “Those types of stories motivate me,” GJ says.
‘It’s Like Fine Wine’
GJ is one of the company’s original Ambassadors, as well as a founding member and a leading trainer. He is writing his second book, and is one of only three individuals with ViSalus to have worked in the field as well as on the corporate level.
“What I’m passionate about is helping to teach other people to see that they can make their dreams, goals and aspirations reality,” he says. He says that most companies in the network marketing industry don’t find their traction until they are 5 to 7 years old. ViSalus is in its fifth year and definitely on a roll. “I look at things from a business standpoint, and the key is finding a company that’s going to stay the course, and ViSalus has definitely done that.” He described some of the last four years as being a “bumpy ride,” which is typical with a new company. The company’s mission statement of “Life, Health and Prosperity” caught his attention four years ago and continues to resonate with him.
“I saw where it could go, and that’s why I stayed the course. In this industry, it’s just like a fine wine: It doesn’t become a fine wine the day it’s bottled; it becomes a fine wine over time.”
